Our Story
We are artists, social scientists and tech entrepreneurs at the cutting edge of creativity, technology and social activism, drawn together to create people-focused change that is sustainable for everyone involved.
IMIRZIVE is the result of a 25-year, 20-country journey that started with founder Emre Mirza’s forays into documentary filmmaking and investigative journalism. As the connection between data and story became more pronounced with the growth of social technology, so did Emre’s fascination with creating an organization that involved audiences and stakeholders in the creative process.
Using Design Thinking Principles, IMIRIZVE emerged as a data-driven storytelling tool that is activated by asking powerful questions that are relevant universally.
Featured Work
12 Hours is a short film about dysfunctional people facing their deepest fears during a global health crisis. Through the lens of an intense family drama, it explores how deep divisions in people can be overcome when they are confronted by the specter of imminent death. For the filmmaker, the premise wrote itself as a response to the year 2020 to explore a fractured global experience. 12 Hours is a community project – derived from real-time events, human experiences and even audience impressions of the first version of this story.
